What I Wore Wednesday and an EXCITING Feature!

Hello Friends!  Please excuse my unintentional absence yesterday (whoops), but I am back today for What I Wore Wednesday!  I will be linking up with Lindsey of The Pleated Poppy, sharing the outfits that I wore this week.

I think I have shared this before, but the good thing about documenting most of the outfits that I wear is that I can see what really works and what pieces in my closet I really like, and I can also see when something needs to change, or when something just isn't working.  I have noticed from the past few weeks that my looks have been borrrrrrrrrrrring!  The same for this week.  It's like something is just lacking, or the pieces themselves are very basic, but as I'm writing this post and looking at the pictures, they definitely need some inspiration!

It's not that I don't like this outfit, because I do, but I needed a scarf or necklace or something.  But I do have to say that I loooove this Essential Tunic from my etsy shop!  Maybe if I had done yellow or coral skinny jeans, it might have been better?  Either way, it was still fine for my monthly mom's group at the preschool, and was comfortable to boot.

Denim Essential Tunic- Goat & Lulu
Emerald Jeggings- Wal Mart
Brown Bow Wedges- Target

Same for this dress.  I love it, and it's so comfortable, but it's a whoooooole lotta gray.  I thought my red tassel necklace would do the job, but it just needs more color on me.  I think a scarf would've been better.

Gray Maxi Dress- Old Navy
Red Tassel Necklace- Amanda Macy Hall on Etsy
Brown Ankle Booties- Shoe Dazzle

Now, this is one outfit from the week that was certainly not boring!  I didn't set up my camera and take a picture before we left, but this is what I wore on mine and Scott's date night last week!  We went to a charity concert, and I thought I'd pull out the big guns and wear my beloved sequinned jacket!  Little did I know that the concert was in a church, and I was slightly overdressed.  Haha!  Oh well, better to be overdressed than underdressed, right?!  Really I didn't care anyway, because I seriously love that jacket.

Rose Gold Sequinned Jacket- Kiki La Rue
Cream Lace Tunic- Target
White Tank- Old Navy
Large Pendant Necklace- Stella & Dot
Gold Medallion Drop Earrings- Kenneth Cole
Rose Gold Band Ring- my great grandmother's wedding band!
(I wore jeans and taupe-y gray boots with it)

I also think this outfit was a good balance.  Pattern in the top and interest in the necklace, so I don't think this was boring.  Maybe I'm on the upswing!  :)  I wore this on Monday when we took a really fun trip to the Georgia Aquarium with some good friends of ours.  More on that trip later!

Chevron Top- Groop Dealz (or Jane.com, I can't remember)
Turquoise Necklace- Sassy Steals
Dark Denim Jeans- Gap via Ebay
Tan Ballet Flats- Target
