Favorite Moments of 2013

Favorite posts are one thing, but favorite moments are certainly another.  I posted about my favorite/most popular posts the other day on the blog, and now today, on New Year's Eve, I'd like to reflect on the best moments, month by month, that made 2013 a great year!

We traveled to Charlotte to help celebrate one niece turning one...

...and at the tail end of the month, we celebrated a new niece as she came into the world!

At the time, it was definitely NOT one of my favorite moments of 2013.  But looking back, The Great Cut of 2013 is a memory and a story that I will never forget, and the girls will never live down. :)

We had a pretty fun Easter this year, and hosted the Midkiff side of the family for Easter dinner!

Nana and Aunt Jane came to visit one weekend...
...then Bammy came too!
We also went to Lemonade Days with some friends, which was lots of fun.

There were lots and lots of fun things that we did and celebrated in May, but Brantley and Grayson's Fairy Garden Tea Party, celebrating their 2nd and 4th birthdays definitely took the cake!

In June, we went on our annual Luton Edisto Beach Trip, to Edisto Beach, South Carolina!

We spent our Fourth of July on our second beach trip of the year, our annual Midkiff Edito Beach Trip, also in Edisto, Beach, South Carolina!

In August, we celebrated Scott's birthday, and the girls went back to school!  Grayson started 2 year old preschool, and my big girl, Brantley, started Pre-K!

The highlight of September was undoubtedly my sweet Ben turning one.  We had a great day on his actual birthday, and then a fun party with friends and family to celebrate our little man!

Halloween was so much fun this year with Super Girl, Wonder Woman and Batman!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at home, just the 5 of us this year.  It was nice to cook our own meal, stuff ourselves, and then have plenty of time to relax and enjoy each other's company!

And of course, December was full of wonderful moments.  Good quality time with cousins and both sides of the family, preschool Christmas program performances and parties, train ride with Santa, baking cookies, and of course, Christmas morning.

Thanks, 2013 for being a wonderful year with plenty of ups and downs, but so many blessings, and so many things to be thankful for.

Here's to 2013, and here's looking forward to 2014!
