10 Ways to Use the Essential Goat & Lulu Reversible Tote Bag

One of the newest items in my Etsy Shop is the Essential Goat & Lulu Reversible Tote Bag!  It's the most perfect little lightweight tote, in an amazing variety of different colors and fabrics, that you can use for a million different things.  And for such a versatile bag (umm...reversible?  It's two bags in one!), totally customized by you, who else thinks that $22 is a steal??

So today I thought I would share 10 different ways that you could use the Essential Goat & Lulu Reversible Tote Bag!  There are surely plenty more, but if you think that the last thing you need is one more bag, you may think again when you see how many things you truly can use this one for!

1. Purse

The most obvious choice, a purse!  The tote is a great size, and opens wide at the top for plenty of room for all your necessities.  And how many times as a mom, do you find the bottom of your purse filled with goldfish crumbs and spilled sippy cups?  No big deal with this bag, since you can just throw it in the washer and dryer and it comes perfectly clean!  If you're a really big purse kinda gal, this may not be for you.  But would be a great purse for your daughter!  Brantley and Grayson must have 400 purses that they carry around at any one moment, stuffed with their babydolls, babydoll bottles, crayons, sippy cups, and snacks.  This bag would be perfect!

2. Diaper Bag

The tote would hold all the necessities for baby!  Diapers, wipes, burp cloth, diaper cream, bottle, you name it.  It would be the perfect size to leave stocked in your car as an "emergency" diaper bag (I always have a diaper bag in my car full of "just in case" items), or to use as a church diaper bag.

3. Gift Bag

Let your gift also be the gift bag!  Stick a bottle of wine and some tissue paper in the tote for a great hostess gift!  Stick a baby onesie in the bag (perhaps from my etsy shop? :)), and have a gift ready for baby and mommy!  Stuff it with some school supplies and hand sanitizer for an awesome teacher gift!  I could seriously make a totally seperate list of gift bag ideas to use with the tote!

4. Lunch Bag

Throw a Lean Cuisine, a small salad in tupperware, and a bottle of water in your tote, and you have a perfectly cute lunch bag.  But, oh no!  Your salad dressing spills all over!  No problem.  Throw it in the wash when you get home.

5. Trash Bag for Car

If you're like me, I am constantly accumulating an ungodly amount of trash in the car.  Fast food wrappers, broken crayons, lollipop sticks, broken baby sunglasses, etc. etc. etc.  Instead of letting your trash take over the car, line the tote with an ugly plastic trash bag and sit it in your front seat, or hang it off the gear shift, and let it be a cute car trash bag!  So much better than filling your door pockets with candy bar wrappers and empty water bottles (not that I would know...:))!

6. School Class Snack Bag

In my girls preschool, when it's our turn to make snacks for the class, teacher sends a class "snack bag" home, and the next day we send the snacks in in that specific bag.  The G&L tote would definitely snazz up the ole classroom snack bag!

7. Reusable Grocery Bag

I always, always, always have a reusable bag rolled up in my glove compartment in the car, and also in my diaper bag.  They are great to use at the grocery store, or if you have a bunch of mail to bring in the house, or returns to take to a store and you threw out the original bag already (happens to me all.the.time.).  This tote would be perfect.  Roll it up, stick it in the car, in your purse, in your work locker, and it's there when you need it.

8. Travel Pet Bag
If you have a pet, then you know when you go out of town, or have to board your dog or cat when you are doing the traveling, there is a whole load of extra stuff you have to pack for your furry companion.  Food, treats, leash, flea medicine, heartworm medicine, etc. etc.  So instead of littering your floorboard with everything or storing it all in your carry-on, why not give man's best friend a cute bag of their own?  Monkey, our beagle has had a tote of his own for quite some time, so he has his own luggage while he's riding shotgun on family roadtrips (okay, we all know he rides in the way back with the luggage, but that sounded cooler. :))  But seriously, a cute reversible tote would be perfect for Fido (or Monkey).

9. Knitting Bag

Do you knit or crochet?  This would be the perfect bag to store your yarns and needles!  Not too big, but certainly not too small, no need to put your knitting project completely away every night when you could just store it by the couch or by the bed in this tote.  And going back to using the tote as a gift bag again, how cute would it be to put a few skeins of yarn and a new pattern in the reversible tote for your knitting friend?!

10. Farmer's Market Tote

Have you ever been to the Farmer's Market and the produce looks so beautiful, the homemade jams and jellies look delicious, but you have just run out of arms to carry everything?  Bring along your reversible tote and carry your produce easily on your shoulder, and leave your hands for the best part...sampling!!
