If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the pictures of us having a little impromptu tea party the other day, which is Brantley's very favorite thing to do. Bammy came to stay with us for a few days earlier this week, and she had introduced the girls to the fine Southern art of entertaining quite some time ago with their first tea party. Since then, Brantley loves to host tea parties with Bammy, but she's very particular about how things are run.
Brantley decided to make a set of "tea party rules" that outline how her tea parties are to be run.
Mom and I were laughing so hard that we were almost crying, and we wrote everything down to make sure that we remembered them.
So, I'd like to share Brantley's Tea Party Rules with you today.
Grayson had problems with rules 1 and 2. :)
Rule 1- Pinkies Out.
Rule 2- No pooting at the table.
Rule 3- Girls wear dresses and boys wear pants.
Rule 4- You can only have a tea party outside if Mommy or Daddy or Bammy says it's okay.
Rule 5- Pray first, and then start the party (so sweet :)).
Grayson also had issues with rule 6. :)
Rule 6- Stay in your seat and don't eat your sister's cookies.
Rule 7- If you serve...
...lemonade, you also have lollipops.
...kool aid, you eat cheese crackers.
...milk, you always have cookies.
Rule 8- Make sure you offer tea to all your guests. CONSTANTLY.
Rule 9- No dogs allowed.
Brantley assures me that if you follow these 9 simple rules, your tea party will be a complete success.
